Leather Stone Bracelets – Dendritic Agate

We spend several days creating these bracelets starting with wet-forming the leather around the stone. Then we tool the design around the stone while it’s still wet. While the leather dries we work on tooling the bracelet. When we start hand-painting to add in all the colors it really begins to come to live. After we let the paint dry we add a coat or resist-which keeps the antique from adhering and absorbing into the leather as well as other places and keeps the colors brighter. Next is a top coat to seal the color in as well as condition the leather. Finally we stitch the medallion to the bracelet which holds the stone in place and really finishes the look! And don’t forget we add the snaps to the ends to finish them up!! Whew! What a process but that’s what makes each one so special!

Each bracelet and each stone are completely unique!

End to End they measure approximately 9″ long and range from 1.75″-2.25″ wide.
